Jarrod Rendell
Principal
Following the completion of a Bachelor of Commerce (Property) degree at Curtin University, Jarrod Rendell worked as a licensed Valuer with both Colliers Jardine (now Colliers International) and FPDSavills (now Savills) for a period of just over 7 years. During this time, Jarrod gained experience in many asset classes including industrial, major shopping centres, CBD and suburban office, and major residential subdivisions.
Jarrod has worked with both Australand and Stockland in Acquisition and Business Development roles focused on identifying and securing englobo land for urban developments, as well as medium density sites for apartment and group housing developments, across metropolitan Perth. During his time with Stockland, Jarrod also fulfilled roles in Queensland and New South Wales in senior leadership roles. Jarrod returned to WA in early 2010 as State Development Manager for Stockland where he was responsible for the team delivering all residential land development in the WA portfolio. During this time, Jarrod managed significant growth in the number of projects under active development or advanced planning which more than doubled Stockland’s market share in WA over the period to June 2012.
In September 2012, Jarrod and Nick established Acumen Development Solutions to provide project management and development consultancy services to landowners and investors of englobo landholdings.
Nick Perrignon
Principal
Nick Perrignon has held senior positions with some of Australia’s largest ASX-listed companies in the property sector including Cedar Woods, Australand, Stockland, and Satterley Property Group. He began his property career as a project manager at Cedar Woods in Western Australia (WA) in 1986 and worked his way up to become Managing Director twelve years later. During his time at Cedar Woods Nick helped grow the business from a small single project property developer funded privately into a listed public company with major projects in WA and Melbourne, including the acquisition of 1800 lots in Melbourne’s western gateway at Laverton Airfield and Port Mandurah Canal Estate in WA.
From 2000, Nick worked with Australand as the WA General Manager principally focused on land development and expanding the apartment development business in West Perth, Joondalup, and Northbridge. In 2002, he took up the position of WA General Manager for Stockland, growing the business from a $7M profit centre to $33M within two years. Nick transferred to Queensland to manage Stockland’s largest residential business in Australia covering major projects throughout QLD with 165 staff working in Townsville, Sunshine Coast, Greater Brisbane, and Gold Coast regional offices, producing $150M profit per annum. In 2007, he was appointed as Stockland’s Chief Operating Officer for Residential Communities with responsibility for strategic planning and delivery of 65 development projects throughout Australia.
Nick returned to Perth in July 2009 and led a new phase of strategic planning and growth for Satterley Property Group. The Satterley business expanded in Melbourne where it now holds 4 major projects, including a housing project at Coburg and land subdivisions in the western corridor. Significant growth occurred in the land projects in Perth, as strategic planning and re-structuring of the business was completed under the direction of a newly formed Board. Jarrod and Nick established Acumen in late 2012, Nick holds a Masters of Business Administration from UWA, conferred in 2002.
